From HR to HX #2: Love as the Foundation for People-Centered Organizations

In this episode, we take a closer look at Sven Hogervorst’s doctoral research and explore the conceptual foundations of a people-centered organization. While the first episode focused primarily on Sven as a person and the purpose and structure of his doctoral research, we now shift our focus to the content. What does human flourishing actually mean? Why isn’t engagement enough? And how do organizations strike a balance between humanity and business? Sven explains that people-centered organizing is much more than promoting well-being or satisfaction: it’s about a holistic view of the human person, in which work and life are inextricably linked. We also discuss why love and compassion—in the sense of agape—are not just “feel-good” concepts, but essential building blocks for organizations that want to contribute to human flourishing. From a culture of care to inspired leadership, from work-related stress and health to the broader societal perspective: this episode outlines the foundation upon which the cathedral of HX is being built.

Have fun listening!
