From HR to HX #1: A Future of Work to Love

🎙️Many people feel that the current system of work and the economy no longer works. But it’s often unclear how things could be different. That’s the focus of my colleague Sven Hogervorst’s doctoral research. The goal: to answer the question, “How can we create an economy and a way of working that actually contributes to human flourishing?”

In this podcast series, Sven takes you along on his journey. Inspired by thinkers such as Aristotle, Martha Nussbaum’s capability approach, and Deci and Ryan’s self-determination theory, he explores what people-centered organization means in the 21st century.

In this first episode, we touch on topics such as Diana Ross, workplace democracy, cathedral thinking, the power of language, a sense of community, and gross national happiness. Seemingly unrelated building blocks, but together they form a shared language and a new narrative around HX: work environments where human flourishing takes center stage.

In short, a podcast about philosophy and practice, about the past and the future. And above all: about a future of work worth loving.
