Why HR is passé
In a world that is changing faster and faster, demanding more and more, and offering less and less to hold on to, organizations are faced with a fundamental choice: do we continue to manage systems, or do we choose people?
That’s why we say: Bye-bye, Human Resources.
Recent years have shown that old ways of organizing are creaking and groaning. Employees feel burned out, disengaged, or overwhelmed. We’re losing a sense of control over our lives. Choices are endless, changes are coming at us fast, and global crises affect us deeply but feel beyond our control. This growing complexity—accelerated by technological progress—underscores the need to make human experience the starting point. Only by firmly anchoring people in our thinking and actions can organizations remain future-proof.
That’s why we say: Bye, Resources. Or to put it another way:
HR = death.
