Intro
Bring structure to an international trading organisation that never stands still. As the HR Operations Officer at ETG Commodities in Amstelveen, you ensure a smooth global HR operation and help further professionalise HR processes.
Your challenge
You support the business worldwide and ensure every HR process runs correctly. From payroll to compliance, and from onboarding to reporting, you keep everything streamlined and the data in order. You will:
- Coordinate the full employee life cycle for approximately 200 employees across Europe, Asia and the US;
- Ensure accurate international payroll in collaboration with external providers such as ADP (US) and NMBRS (NL);
- Handle global mobility topics such as work permits and 30 percent tax rulings for expats;
- Manage contracts and data in SuccessFactors and prepare HR reports for management and C&B cycles;
- Actively contribute to process improvements and help bring structure to a dynamic environment.
Presence at the office in Amstelveen is required.
This role is not available for remote candidates living outside the Netherlands.
About the role
You will be part of a compact, international HR team within ETG Commodities, which is part of the global ETG Group. In Amstelveen, you form the local team together with the HR Business Partner. You also work closely with colleagues in South Africa, India, Spain, Switzerland and the US. The organisation is growing and evolving rapidly. Not everything is set in stone, so there is plenty of room for initiative. You enjoy building, setting priorities and creating structure in an environment that is constantly changing.

What you get in return
- A salary up to € 4,750 gross per month (based on 40 hours);
- 8 % holiday allowance, paid monthly through salary;
- Gross pension allowance of 10 % each month;
- A performance-based bonus;
- 25 vacation days and the option to work from home one day per week;
- Travel allowance of € 0.23 per kilometre for commuting (up to 50 km one way);
- A one-year contract with the intention to convert to a permanent contract.
What makes you successful in this role
You combine accuracy with a pragmatic approach and feel comfortable in an international context. You have:
- At least 5 years of experience in HR Operations, preferably in an international organisation;
- Knowledge of payroll principles and a basic understanding of international employment regulations;
- Strong system skills, ideally with SuccessFactors or similar HR tools;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; Dutch is a plus;
- A structured, proactive and resilient working style.
Nice-to-haves include experience with ADP TotalSource, NMBRS, global mobility or working in an entrepreneurial, fast-changing organisation.
