The international electronic market maker Optiver is looking for a driven HR Officer with a passion for cash equities, listed derivatives, bonds and foreign currencies. You act as a point of contact for all operational HR questions and you are responsible for the full employee life cycle

As an HR Officer you have the following responsibilities
  • Managing all operational HR related activities (related to new joiners, leavers, transfers etc.), including data entry in HR system;
  • handling requests from management and employees about immigration matters, pensions, absence and 30% ruling;
  • playing a key role in helping new employees getting adjusted to their role;
  • working directly with internal stakeholders such as HR Business Partners, Finance and legal, but also with external parties like attorneys, tax agencies and expat agencies;
  • ensuring data privacy and HR compliance;
  • leveraging tools, such as Greenhouse and AFAS;
  • continuous process improvement 

This role reports to the Head of HR Operations & Systems.

Optiver is a leading global electronic market maker, focused on pricing, execution and risk management. From our offices in Amsterdam, Chicago, Shanghai and Sydney, we provide liquidity to financial markets using our own capital, at our own risk, trading a wide range of products: from listed derivatives, cash equities, ETFs and bonds to foreign exchange. 

The HR Operations & Systems team consists of three other HR Officers, a HR data analyst and the Head of HR Operations & Systems. You ensure that interests and regulations are converted into automated HR processes. You have direct collaboration with HR Business Partners and Finance, among others, but also with other stakeholders, including lawyers and expat agencies.

This is what you will bring to the job of HR Officer
  • A completed university/hbo education;
  • at least 1 year of internship/work experience in the HR field;
  • 32 to 40 hours available;
  • Excel and/or programming skills, experience with HR systems (AFAS) is a plus;
  • excellent communication skills in English and preferably Dutch;
  • you have an affinity with legislation and regulations and a broad knowledge of the Dutch HR landscape (pension schemes, immigration, etc.);
  • you are self-critical, driven, highly analytical, stress resistant, structured, independent and flexible;
  • you have an eye for detail and an open team spirit with a strong problem-solving ability.
